The Process Mediation Design-Time Tool allows a business analyst to identify and to solve the heterogeneity problems that may appear between various business processes. The result of the process mediation is a new process able to interact with the processes it mediates between and to coordinate their execution. The mediation task consists of two main steps: first, the tool automatically generates a candidate Mediation Process. In the second step, if the domain expert is not satisfied with the result, he can further refine the Mediation Process using the same methodologies and tools normally used in designing and editing arbitrary business processes.
