The lecture is an introduction to Modeling. We introduce Modeling as a discipline within Computer Science and Engineering, and some of the the most important modeling paradigms of the last decades, including Relational Modeling, Object-Role Modeling (ORM), Entity Relationship Modeling (ER), Object Oriented Modeling (OO), Process and Service Modeling. Graduates of this module have a solid overview of these main themes. They will learn and understand different methods and techniques used for Modeling, and will be able to apply them.
